Hello,
I just joined Ski-Forums today and was looking for some information. I recently took my son skiing for the first time, and it was my first time in 25 years. He had wanted to go, but I had put it off because I really wasn't interested in getting back into skiing. I am an avid snowmobiler, and I hated to "waste" a day off skiing. To make a long story short we had an absolute blast. After 10-15 minutes he was comfortable going down the hill, and I was skiing better than I did when I was in high school. I could not believe how easy it was. The new skis are incredible! I believe they are called shape skis? I used to ski on a pair of 210s that one of my buddies said I had to have. The other day I used a pair of 160 Rossignol rental skis and loved them. Needless to say my son and I are totally hooked. Where can I find good prices on used packages? I am hoping that being late in the season I may be able to find good deals for us. Any help I could get on what brands are better, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. thumbsup

Well is your son going to outgrow his skis and boots every year? There is Craigs list to sell them or you could just rent. The rentals are so much better now and you can wrap it up in a nice package deal with a ticket/ lesson.
My brother just got back skiing after a hip replacement and for the time being he is renting Demos. Loves that he can get into a different top of the line pair every time he skiis. And they are always checked out and tuned up.
I just got back skiing and got a hand me down pair of Vokyls from my great niece. And Boots too! The price was right!

Sorry for the long answer.
